WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR APPOINTMENT

A list of all medications and supplements, including dosage.

Copies of any recent X-rays, CT scans, MRI’s of your spine. These should be available to you on a CD by contacting the facility where the images were taken. (Not necessary if they were done at a Scott & White facility). While the paper radiologist’s report is valuable, it is not a replacement for Dr. Santman being able to personally view the actual pictures.

A copy of your current insurance card.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR INITIAL VISIT

You will be interviewed by a Medical Assistant to learn important facts about medications, allergies, and medical history. X-rays may be obtained.

You will then be examined by a member of the Spine Team. In addition to Dr. Santman, we have Rudi Dimas, P.A.
Rudi is a physician assistant with over 14 years of experience, the last 10 years exclusively dedicated to spine care. Either Rudi or Dr. Santman will listen to your description of the problem, examine you, decide if additional diagnostic testing is necessary, and propose treatment options.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions about your condition and treatment.
